BENNY WENDA'S HEALTH IS WORSENING, HIS PRISON'S ROOM IS THE WORST OF ALL, AND GUARGED BY THE ARMY PERSONNEL

AMP International Reporting

Below is the health condition of Benny Wenda,

At the moment, Benny Wenda's condition is worsening, weaking and we are worried about it.

The jail is not a healthy place, it does not fulfil the minimun health standard for human beings.

Based on our observation and visits, the size of his room is 2X2 m with one bathroom and no sleeping room, no mat nor masters whatsoever, just blank cement-floor. The window has no ventilation at all, it is totally dark, no water is flowing, after going to toilet, it is smelly because no water to clean it. His room is perhaps the smeliest and the worst of all rooms in Abepura prison.

The police even do not allow Benny Wenda to see his friends, families and relatives who visit him. The army and police are on guards, even though there are also personnel from the prison.

He is now in a very bad condition, as his family cannot see him.

I hope the world will understand and will act as they can to stop this humanitarian problem.
